Health… we take it for granted when we have it. When we don’t, there is nothing  we won’t give to have it.  So, why wait until your health is gone?

To me, drugs and surgery have always seemed like an emergency procedure or last ditch effort. There is not a drug out there that is not toxic. The body was designed to work as a whole, the sum of its parts. Take something away and it makes sense that it won’t work as well.

The only thing that made sense to me was that you have to give your body what it needs... proper nerve supply, nutrition, sleep, water, and positive mental thoughts and feelings to stay well.  Easier said than done, but I know people who take better care of their possessions than themselves.

My role model for my Colorado Springs practice has been my father, who spent selfless hours trying to give back what someone had lost... their health. Chiropractic has always been a part of my life. Coming from a family with three generations of chiropractors, my form of healthcare has always been chiropractic care. My grandfather, father, or uncle always restored my health with a chiropractic adjustment and let my body heal itself.

I met my husband, John, at Palmer College of Chiropractic and together we have two wonderful children, our daughter Nikki, and son Skylar. When I’m not in our Colorado Springs office, you may find me working in my flower garden, shopping with Nikki, or trying to figure our how to spend some time with my family on the water.

Dr. John Asks some important questions of interest to Colorado Springs residents - Chiropractor Colorado Springs Dr. John Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
