Meet the Colorado Health and Wellness Team

Sylvia Goroski
Sylvia Goroski

Sylvia Goroski fell in love with Chiropractic in 1993 and since that time has been working in the chiropractic profession. She joined Colorado Health and Wellness in 1997 after moving to Colorado Springs from Minnesota. One of her favorite things about working in a chiropractic office is seeing peoples' lives transformed as their health is restored. When she’s not in the office you may find her volunteering with the youth at her church, curled up with a good book, hanging out with friends or hiking in the mountains.

Rebecca Mattocks

When my occasional back pain turned into an everyday problem, I searched for some form of relief that would keep me moving and able to work. In 2002, I saw a chiropractor for the first time and discovered that I do not have to live with pain and limited mobility. I joined the team of Colorado Health and Wellness in May 2008, after my husband and I moved from North Carolina to Fort Carson. When I am not in the office, I can usually be found on campus at UCCS, at home working on my latest artistic endeavor, or spending time outdoors with my husband, Kevin.

Dr. John Asks some important questions of interest to Colorado Springs residents - Chiropractor Colorado Springs Dr. John Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
